Adani Green's 180 MW Solar Plant Operational in Rajasthan
Adani Green Energy Limited (AGEL) has announced the commissioning of a 180 MW solar power plant located in Devikot, Jaisalmer, Rajasthan. This significant addition to their operational portfolio is poised to make a substantial impact, producing approximately 540 million units of electricity annually. This output is expected to power over 1.1 lakh households and notably reduce approximately 0.39 million tonnes of CO2 emissions annually, underlining AGEL's commitment to sustainability.
The plant operates under a 25-year power purchase agreement with the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI), ensuring long-term stability and viability. AGEL's innovative approach is evident in the deployment of next-generation bifacial solar PV modules and horizontal single-axis solar trackers (HSAT). These technologies maximize efficiency by optimizing sunlight capture throughout the day.
Furthermore, AGEL has incorporated waterless robotic module cleaning systems, a move that not only enhances operational efficiency but also conserves water resources, particularly crucial in the arid region of Jaisalmer.
The company's commitment to cutting-edge infrastructure extends to its Energy Network Operation Centre (ENOC), which is built on a secure digital cloud platform. This ENOC enables real-time monitoring of AGEL's renewable energy assets, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
With this latest addition, AGEL's operational solar portfolio now stands at an impressive 6,243 MW, contributing significantly to India's renewable energy landscape. Moreover, their total operational renewable generation capacity reaches 9,784 MW, solidifying their position as the largest renewable energy player in the country.
AGEL reaffirms its pivotal role in India's renewable energy sector, aligning with the nation's objectives of achieving energy security and transitioning to a low-carbon economy. Through innovation, efficiency, and sustainability, AGEL continues to spearhead India's renewable energy journey.
